HILLSBORO, Ore. (KPTV) – Eyewitness video shared with FOX 12 shows the moments before a deadly plane crash near Twin Oaks Airpark.<\/p>\n
One person has died after a plane crashed and caught fire in Washington County on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue says firefighters responded to a small plane crash at around 3 p.m. near the Twin Oaks Airpark off SW River Road.<\/p>\n

The fire from the plane reportedly started to spread to a nearby field.<\/p>\n
FOX 12 obtained dashcam video from community member Patrick Singh that shows the plane flying low across the road leading up to the crash.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe said that\u2019s a crash, that\u2019s a crash, that\u2019s a crash, pull over,\u201d said eyewitness, Patrick Singh.<\/p>\n
Singh was on his way to finish errands when he and his wife saw this\u2014a small two-seater airplane crash into an open field.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was scary. This was a first, I\u2019ve never seen anything like that,\u201d said Singh.<\/p>\n
Singh says he jumped out of his car to try and help.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, we ran to try to help him out, but it just engulfed in flames,\u201d Singh said.<\/p>\n
According to TVF&R, the pilot was the only one inside the plane and was killed as a result of the crash.<\/p>\n
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is leading the investigation with help from the Federal Aviation Administration.<\/p>\n
NTSB says the plane was an experimental Lancair 235 aircraft.<\/p>\n
And as the investigation continues, Singh is heartbroken after witnessing the horrific crash and is thinking about the victim\u2019s family.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel sad for his family who probably don\u2019t know anything about this. He probably said oh, I\u2019m gonna go fly a plane and come back home today, and I just feel hurt inside,\u201d said Singh.<\/p>\n
TVF&R says flights from the airpark were canceled for the rest of the day. It\u2019s unclear when flights may resume.<\/p>\n
