{"id":701918,"date":"2026-06-13T15:23:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-13T15:23:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/701918\/"},"modified":"2026-06-13T15:23:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-13T15:23:09","slug":"sea-plane-crashes-into-nycs-east-river-2-passengers-rescued-fdny-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/701918\/","title":{"rendered":"Sea plane crashes into NYC&#8217;s East River, 2 passengers rescued, FDNY says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The New York City Fire Department says a sea plane crashed into the East River on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The FDNY said it launched a major technical response just before 9:30 a.m. after getting reports of a small plane down in the water near the Throggs Neck Bridge and Whitestone, Queens.<\/p>\n<p>According to fire officials, two passengers were taken onto an FDNY boat and no injures were reported.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Video shows the plane being towed out of the water.
