The Indiana Fever<\/a> will face the Connecticut Sun<\/a> on Saturday as part of the 2026 WNBA Commissioner\u2019s Cup.<\/p>\n Fever star Sophie Cunningham<\/a> is on the team\u2019s injury report<\/a> after missing her first game of the season on Thursday against the Chicago Sky<\/a> because of an elbow injury.<\/p>\n Cunningham has been listed as probable because of a right elbow injury, which means she\u2019s likely suiting up for tonight\u2019s game. She\u2019s set to be reevaluated before tip-off, which means she\u2019ll either get upgraded to available or downgraded to out.<\/p>\n The Missouri product practiced on Wednesday before being listed as questionable and eventually tagged as out. White revealed that Cunningham has been dealing with a sore right elbow for a while now, and they were just being cautious with her.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019ve been doing treatment and really trying to get her ready to go,\u201d White said, via Cydney Henderson of The Indianapolis Star<\/a>. \u201cI think the most important thing for us is \u2026 making sure that we\u2019re extremely cautious and we\u2019re thinking about the big picture.\u201d<\/p>\n Chloe Peterson of The Indianapolis Star<\/a> added that Cunningham\u2019s injury is not expected to keep her out for long. That means she could be back as soon as Saturday\u2019s game against the Connecticut Sun.<\/p>\n Cunningham is averaging<\/a> 8.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in her second season with the Fever. It was a cross-screen and then down-screen, so she was supposed to be at the top of the key. But Lexi drew two defenders, and so she went right where there was wide-open space.\u201d<\/p>\n There you go.
