\n\tOG Anunoby\u2019s popularity has been skyrocketing since tipping in the winning shot in Game 4 of the NBA<\/a> Finals, which gave his New York Knicks<\/a> a 3-1 series lead over the San Antonio Spurs. Not even 72 hours later, he\u2019s already capitalizing.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Saturday, Crypto.com announced the launch of its OG Prediction Markets platform in New York and said Anunoby had signed on as a brand ambassador. The company plans to roll out its marketing campaign with a billboard in Times Square this weekend.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnunoby is far from the first athlete to join forces with a prediction market. Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo took a stake in Kalshi<\/a> this February, while LIV golfer Bryson DeChambeau signed an endorsement deal with the company a month earlier.<\/p>\n

\n\tKalshi\u2019s other athlete investors include Breanna Stewart, Nneka Ogwumike, Diana Taurasi, Ajay Mitchell, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Gabriela Jaquez, Marshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman, Kyle Kuzma and Kevin Durant through his venture fund 35V, according to a roundup<\/a> compiled by Front Office Sports. Meanwhile, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley reportedly took a stake in Polymarket in 2025.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s unclear whether Anunoby\u2019s deal with Crypto.com was in the works for a while or a spur of the moment opportunity following his Game 4 heroics. CAA, his agency, didn\u2019t immediately reply to a request for comment on the matter.<\/p>\n

\n\tEither way, it\u2019s a clear indicator that the 28-year-old\u2019s star is on the rise. While teammates Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns still outrank the soft-spoken Anunoby in terms of social media popularity, his Instagram following has grown by more than 160,000 followers to north of 600,000 over the past seven days<\/a>, according to social media analytics website InsTrack.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnunoby also signed with Skechers in 2025 and is in the process<\/a> of trademarking a logo featuring the letters \u201cOG,\u201d the initials he goes by instead of his given name, Ogugua. That mark has appeared on player exclusive sneakers Anunoby has donned throughout the season, including the SKX Nexus \u201cNYC Blue\u201d in Game 4.<\/p>\n

\n\tIf the Knicks can finish off the Spurs and win their first championship in 53 years, Anunoby will undoubtedly see demand for his image continue to rise off the court. He earns an estimated $750,000 annually from his marketing endeavors, in addition to $37.1 million from his contract with New York. That total of $37.9 million in 2025 landed him at No. 100 on Sportico\u2019s most recent list of the world\u2019s highest-paid athletes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Knicks acquired Anunoby from the Toronto Raptors in 2023<\/a>, trading away RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and a 2024 second-round pick.
