(WEAU) &#8211; After finishing runner-up in 2025, the Altoona boys tennis team returned to Madison and took the top spot as WIAA Division Two State Team champions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Head Coach Greg Emerson\u2019s Railroaders took down Madison Edgewood in the finals 5-2 for the programs first championship.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Altoona swept the singles matches, getting wins from Trenton Navarre, Carter Drescher, Jonah Oldenkamp and Connor Gower.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In doubles, Joseph Ricci and Owen Drescher were also victorious. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Teagan Bennett, Jaxton Semrow, Lucas Pederson and Isaiah Yi rounding out the Rails squad that was dominant all season long.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Earlier in the day, Altoona defeated Kolher 5-2 in the semifinals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This was just the second time that Altoona had made it to team state, and add a gold trophy to last year\u2019s silver trophy they took home. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Congratulations to the Altoona Railroaders on their championship season!<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WEAU.
