(KKCO) &#8211; Some Grand Junction residents woke up to a bear-y unexpected visitor Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Mesa County Sheriff\u2019s Office (MCSO) said deputies began receiving calls around 5 a.m. about a black bear roaming through residential neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The bear was spotted in multiple backyards in areas just south of Interstate 70 East. A KKCO viewer sent in a video of the bear captured on her Ring doorbell camera, which you can watch above. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers located and tranquilized the animal before safely relocating it to more suitable habitat on the Grand Mesa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">MCSO shared photos of the wandering bear, with Public Information Officer Molly Casey joking, \u201cAll I can say is this was not on my bingo card for Saturday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KKCO.
