BEMIDJI \u2014 Work from Kane Goulet is currently on display in an exhibit entitled, “Miikawaadad Wanichigewin \u2014 Beautiful Mistake,” at Watermark Art Center, 505 Bemidji Ave. N.<\/p>\n

The exhibit is a compilation of abstract paintings and stylized interpretations from Goulet’s experiences and travels, a release said.<\/p>\n

“My work begins with the understanding that perfection is unattainable and instead of resisting that, I use it as a starting point,” Goulet said in the release. “At its core, my work celebrates curiosity, enjoyment and the freedom to have fun while making something honest.”<\/p>\n

An artist reception is slated for 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, at Watermark. Goulet will deliver an artist talk at 2:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
