{"id":708321,"date":"2026-06-16T22:40:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-16T22:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/708321\/"},"modified":"2026-06-16T22:40:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T22:40:09","slug":"construction-workers-death-halts-work-on-broncos-training-facility","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/708321\/","title":{"rendered":"Construction worker&#8217;s death halts work on Broncos&#8217; training facility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Turner Construction has suspended work on the Broncos\u2019 new training facility as police investigate the death of a worker.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ParkerJGabriel\/status\/2066981903476158963\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">a heartbreaking loss<\/a> for the worker\u2019s family, loved ones, friends, colleagues, and all those impacted by this tragedy,\u201d the construction company said in a statement to Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post.<\/p>\n<p>Workers found the man, whose name has not been released, unresponsive in a \u201cconfined ceiling area\u201d around 8:20 p.m. Monday, the Arapahoe County Sheriff\u2019s Office said in a release. South Metro Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene, but the man was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Denver Broncos are heartbroken to learn a subcontractor working on our new training center passed away Monday while on-site,\u201d the team said in a statement. \u201cWe extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the individual\u2019s family, coworkers and friends during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Construction on the $175 million facility began in 2024 and is scheduled for completion this summer.
