The firmware has a version number of 8B41, up from 8B40 for the \u200cAirPods Pro 3\u200c and 8B39 for the AirPods Pro 2. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-825981\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/AirPods-Pro-Firmware-Feature.jpg\"   alt=\"AirPods Pro Firmware Feature\" width=\"2322\" height=\"1306\"\/><br \/>There is no word on what&#8217;s included in the new firmware, but Apple <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/106340\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">has a support document<\/a> with limited notes. Most updates are limited to bug fixes and performance improvements.<\/p>\n<p>To get the updated firmware, make sure your AirPods Pro are in range of your iPhone, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/roundup\/ipad\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">iPad<\/a>, or Mac and are connected via Bluetooth.<\/p>\n<p>From there, connect your Apple device to Wi-Fi, put your AirPods in the Charging Case, and connect the Charging Case to power. Keep the case closed and wait at least 30 minutes for the firmware update to install.
