Stiller himself made the announcement on Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart\u2019s Roomates podcast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cI\u2019m really excited to announce that we are making a documentary about the New York Knicks for <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/hbo\/\" id=\"auto-tag_hbo\" data-tag=\"hbo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">HBO<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/a24\/\" id=\"auto-tag_a24\" data-tag=\"a24\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">A24<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe actor\/director went on to say he as \u201cfull cooperation of the NBA and MSG.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOn that front, it should be noted that Stiller made the announcement with Finals MVP Brunson and fellow champion Hart sitting by his side. The implicit message: Access will not be an issue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFans have assumed the project would follow the current team\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/06\/knicks-biggest-comeback-nba-finals-history-1236953409\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">championship run<\/a>, and it will, but it will also cover \u201call eras of the Knicks,\u201d said Stiller. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe multi-part event series will be directed by Stiller and promises to \u201ctrace the full arc of the franchise from the \u201990s to the improbable, record-breaking run that finally returned a championship to New York.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tStiller shared confirmation on his X account.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHe said work on the project only started \u201ca little bit before the playoff run\u201d and production will likely continue over the next year. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cWe\u2019ll probably shoot a little more next season,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIf this year\u2019s NBA Finals\u2019 ratings are any indication, there could be a very large audience for such a showcase series, if done right.
