We always sensed the market for Forza Horizon 5<\/a> on PS5 was humongous, but even we\u2019re a little stunned by how well it\u2019s sold.<\/p>\n

The game \u2013 which has been consistently near the top of global sales charts<\/a> ever since it deployed on Sony\u2019s system \u2013 is said to have shifted two million copies in its first month on the market.<\/p>\n

That statistic comes courtesy<\/a> of ex-Turn 10 Game and Level Designer Harrison Bolin, who was unfortunately struck by Microsoft\u2019s recent round of layoffs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In his resume<\/a>, he notes the following, as first spotted by ResetEra<\/a>:<\/p>\n

\u201cCreated cross-platform feature designs enabling Forza Horizon 5 to sell two million units in one month on PS5 alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

These really are remarkable statistics, especially when you consider the open world racer first released on Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2021 \u2013 almost four years ago.<\/p>\n

The arcade racing community has been underserved for quite some time on PS5, with Sony nuking series like MotorStorm<\/a> and EA largely putting Need for Speed<\/a> on hiatus. For a while, there was only really The Crew<\/a> to choose from.<\/p>\n

Microsoft has already confirmed there\u2019ll be a new Forza next year, and with 50% of Turn 10\u2019s staff lost<\/a>, we expect it\u2019ll be Forza Horizon 6<\/a> from Playground Games.<\/p>\n

Assuming it launches day-and-date on PS5 \u2013 which, let\u2019s be honest, is almost certain at this stage \u2013 it could very well end up one of the best-selling games of 2026.<\/p>\n
