\u201cAll my Children\u201d star Paul Avery and his wife, Sheila, tragically died in a devastating house fire in the early hours of Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n
According to WFMZ<\/a>, the actor, who was 81, and his wife were inside their Blairstown, New Jersey home when it went up in flames.<\/p>\n Firefighters got to the residence before\u00a01 a.m. on Tuesday and pulled the couple out of the flame-engulfed house.<\/p>\n However, Paul and Sheila were in critical condition and died shortly after,\u00a0per Ridge View Echo.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n Paul Avery and his wife Sheila (pictured here) died in a house fire at their Blairstown, New Jersey home early Tuesday morning. Facebook\/Paul Avery<\/p>\n At the time of his death, Paul was the founder and executive editor of the\u00a0Ridge View Echo.<\/p>\n Paul\u2019s friend and writer at the paper, Joe Phalon, told WFMZ: \u201cI always like to call Paul the most interesting man in the world, because he was when you consider everything he\u2019s done in his life. Acting, skydiving, Vietnam veteran, started a newspaper.\u201d<\/p>\n He added that Paul\u2019s passing will \u201cleave a real void in this community.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNot just Blairstown, but the towns around as well,\u201d Phalon expressed. \u201cI think we\u2019ll really miss him, and I think it\u2019s going to become more apparent over time.\u201d<\/p>\n Paul (pictured here in 2011) was the founder and executive editor of the\u00a0Ridge View Echo at the time of his death.
