A court in Texas released photos and videos of evidence used during the murder trial of Karmelo Anthony<\/a>, including graphic images from the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The evidence was made public on Friday, marking less than two weeks after a jury convicted Anthony, 19, of murder in connection to Metcalf’s death<\/a> during a high school track meet in Frisco.<\/p>\n

Anthony was sentenced to 35 years in prison<\/a> on June 9 after jurors rejected his claim that he acted in self-defense.<\/p>\n

The materials released by the 296th District Court include crime scene photos, police body-camera footage, 911 recordings, and images of evidence presented to jurors during the trial.<\/p>\n

Among the evidence is enhanced security camera video that shows the moments before and after Anthony stabbed Metcalf. A portion of the footage captures Anthony as he ran away from the scene before his arrest.<\/p>\n

One clip shows Anthony right after he was handcuffed at the scene. As an officer approaches him, the officer refers to him as the alleged suspect. <\/p>\n

“I’m not alleged. I did it,” Anthony says.<\/p>\n

In another clip, he sounds as if he is sobbing.<\/p>\n

“He put his hands on me. I told him not to. He put his hands on me,” Anthony tells officers as they escort him away from the scene.<\/p>\n

Several of the photos contain graphic depictions of Metcalf’s fatal wound, as well as blood-stained clothing, and the knife prosecutors identified as the murder weapon.<\/p>\n

The case stemmed from an April 2025 confrontation between Anthony and Metcalf <\/a>under a team tent during a weather delay at a high school track meet.
