{"id":716322,"date":"2026-06-20T23:03:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-20T23:03:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/716322\/"},"modified":"2026-06-20T23:03:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-20T23:03:09","slug":"ex-mastodon-guitarist-brent-hinds-memorialized-at-hellfest-fr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/716322\/","title":{"rendered":"Ex-Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds memorialized at Hellfest FR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hellfest Open Air has added another tribute to a fallen metal musician to its festival grounds.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the newly unveiled <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/lambgoat.com\/news\/53558\/ozzy-osbourne-statue-unveiled-in-france-at-this-years-hellfest-open-air\/\">Ozzy Osbourne statue<\/a>, this year&#8217;s event features an ornate stained glass-style memorial honoring late Mastodon vocalist\/guitarist Brent Hinds. Mastodon guitarist Bill Kelliher recently shared a look at the installation.<\/p>\n<p>Hinds <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/lambgoat.com\/news\/49197\/ex-mastodon-guitarist-brent-hinds-killed-in-motorcycle-accident\/\">died at age 51<\/a> in an August 20th, 2025 motorcycle accident. In addition to his decades with Mastodon, he performed with Fiend Without A Face, West End Motel, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, and other projects.<\/p>\n<p>Though Hinds and Mastodon parted ways under bitter circumstances months before his death, the band recently honored him with their <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/lambgoat.com\/news\/53325\/mastodon-premiere-new-single-your-ghost-again\/\">new single<\/a> &#8220;Your Ghost Again.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Hellfest Open Air has added another tribute to a fallen metal musician to its festival grounds.
