Before sitework commenced, the project had been in the works for nearly six years, with the estimated cost of construction rounding out to more than $150 million.<\/p>\n<p>South Bank Residences will comprise two towers measuring 25 stories connected by an eight-story parking garage. Homes will range from studio to three-bedroom apartments, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, balconies, and various elevated furnishings.<\/p>\n<p>Per its January 2026 report, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jaxdailyrecord.com\/news\/2026\/jan\/12\/downtown-jacksonville-south-bank-residences-in-permit-review-at-150-million\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Jacksonville Daily Record<\/a> reported that South Bank Residences would have 394 or 396 units as \u201c[t]he city says 396 units while plans count 394.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-40638\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Screenshot-2026-06-20-at-8.24.31-PM-scaled.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"453\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The lobby would be located on the ground floor. To name a few, the second floor would have a fitness center and spa, while the rooftop would host a sundeck and sky bar. Other features include a movie theater, game simulator, and dining space.<\/p>\n<p>GAI Consultants is the civil engineer. MSA Architects Inc.\u00a0designed the venture.
