Marina Mabrey was jokingly called out by Angel Reese ahead of Monday’s WNBA clash, as the latter agreed to show off her new car after the Atlanta Dream claimed victory<\/p>\n

Atlanta Dream star Angel Reese has already gotten one over rival Caitlin Clark this week, and now she’s told a former teammate to expect a loss ahead of Monday’s WNBA clash.<\/p>\n

Reese<\/a> celebrated back-to-back wins over Clark at the Indiana Fever, with the Dream winning home and away games on Thursday and Saturday. Reese showed frustration toward a foul call involving Clark in the first clash<\/a>, but helped inspire a comeback win in the second.<\/p>\n

WNBA history was also made on Saturday, as Reese became the fastest player to reach 1,000 rebounds in the league<\/a>. After celebrating her accomplishment and a winning run, Reese joked with former teammate Marina Mabrey after flexing her new Rolls-Royce Cullinan on social media.<\/p>\n

Reese recently shared a photo of her Rolls-Royce on social media, as her glamorous life continues on and off the court. It’s been a busy start to the year for Reese, who fronted a summer collection for Victoria’s Secret and also earned a major WNBA trade.<\/p>\n

The former Chicago Sky star now has a luxury new vehicle, and it has created a lot of excitement. Among those to react to the new car was Mabrey, who also left Chicago and has since started a new chapter ahead of this season, joining the Toronto Tempo.<\/p>\n

“Ok yeah I’m officially jealous I want that car,” Mabrey wrote on the post. Reese then replied, “I’ll pick you up after the dub on Monday.”<\/p>\n

The banter between the WNBA stars highlights their close relationship from playing together on the Sky. They remain close friends and bonded in Chicago after experiencing their rookie seasons together.<\/p>\n

Mabrey joined the Toronto Tempo via the expansion draft, while Reese was dealt to the Atlanta Dream in a major trade. Toronto will face Atlanta on Monday, and while Reese has promised a ride in her new car, she did so after insisting her team would win.<\/p>\n

Reese has enjoyed the best WNBA season of her career so far, averaging 15.3 points per game. Atlanta is also at the top of the Eastern Conference with an 11-4 record, after Reese experienced losing seasons in Chicago.<\/p>\n

She has helped Atlanta become a legitimate championship contender, proving that the grass can be greener after falling out of love with Chicago. While the team is succeeding, she also made history after reaching 1,000 rebounds in just 79 games.<\/p>\n

“I think people don’t realize rebounding is harder than you think,” Reese said. “Defensive rebounds are a little bit easier, but going in and crashing every single time to get second-chance opportunities on the offensive end.<\/p>\n

“And you can look statistically, they’re not just from my shots, they’re from my teammates. And it gives us more points. It gives us more opportunities.”<\/p>\n

After two disappointing seasons in Chicago, which saw her suffer an injury and earn a suspension for disciplinary issues, Reese is now thriving.
