{"id":719044,"date":"2026-06-22T11:19:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T11:19:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/719044\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T11:19:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T11:19:09","slug":"blood-pressure-medication-recalled-nationwide-over-manufacturing-issue-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/719044\/","title":{"rendered":"Blood pressure medication recalled nationwide over manufacturing issue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WASHINGTON (WKRC) &#8211; More than 11,000 bottles of a widely prescribed blood pressure medication have been recalled nationwide after a manufacturing issue was discovered, according to federal records.<\/p>\n<p>Inventia Healthcare Limited initiated the voluntary recall of Chlorthalidone Tablets USP, 25 mg on June 5.<\/p>\n<p>The recall affects both 100-count and 1,000-count bottles distributed in the United States by Rising Pharma Holdings Inc. of New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accessdata.fda.gov\/scripts\/ires\/?Event=99136\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">According to the Food and Drug Administration&#8217;s enforcement report<\/a>, the recalled medication failed dissolution specifications, meaning the tablets may not dissolve as intended in the body.<\/p>\n<p>Chlorthalidone is commonly prescribed to treat high blood pressure and fluid retention.<\/p>\n<p>The recall involves:<\/p>\n<p>100-count bottles: Lot RISA24001, expiration date April 20271,000-count bottles: Lot RISB24002, expiration date April 2027<\/p>\n<p>A total of 11,460 bottles are included in the recall.<\/p>\n<p>The FDA has not yet assigned a classification to the recall, and no public press release has been issued.<\/p>\n<p>Patients taking the medication should consult their pharmacist or healthcare provider if they believe they may have a recalled bottle.
