The Celtics and Heat are the two finalists to land Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo<\/a>, and a deal is expected to be completed before the draft begins on Tuesday night, ESPN\u2019s Shams Charania said Monday morning on \u201cGet Up\u201d (Twitter video link<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\"\"Charania adds that it\u2019s likely to be a two-team trade either way, with no one else getting involved as a facilitator. However, other teams could be added later on.<\/p>\n

He describes Milwaukee as having \u201cserious conversations\u201d with both Boston and Miami, which are reportedly Antetokounmpo\u2019s preferred destinations and teams with whom he would be willing to sign an extension.<\/p>\n

Charania cites a \u201cdramatic\u201d difference in the two packages that Milwaukee is considering. A deal with the Celtics would be built around Jaylen Brown<\/a>, an established star who averaged a career-high 28.7 points per game this season and earned second-team All-NBA honors. There has been speculation that the Bucks would look to move Brown to another team, but they may also consider keeping him and trying to be competitive right away. Brown is owed roughly $183MM over the next three seasons and will become eligible this summer for an extension that could be worth up to $142MM for two years.<\/p>\n

Charania calls Miami\u2019s offer more \u201ccost-controlled.\u201d It reportedly features Tyler Herro<\/a>, along with Kel\u2019el Ware<\/a>\u00a0and Jaime Jaquez Jr.<\/a>, who are both still on rookie-scale contracts, in addition to draft assets (and likely at least one or two more players). Herro has a $33MM expiring deal and will be extension-eligible this offseason, while Jaquez is also in line for an extension as he enters the final year of his rookie scale contract.<\/p>\n

Milwaukee\u2019s decision makers are currently split between the two offers, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line (Twitter link<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Antetokounmpo would be happy with either destination, one of his associates tells Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald (Twitter link<\/a>). The source confirms that Antetokounmpo\u2019s camp informed a \u201c(far) West team\u201d that the two-time MVP wouldn\u2019t consider signing an extension there, but adds that they didn\u2019t want to scare away every team but Miami.<\/p>\n

ESPN\u2019s Brian Windhorst indicates that the Heat realize they don\u2019t have an individual asset that compares to Brown, and they\u2019re searching for other ways to add value to their offer (Twitter video link<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Jaylen Brown doesn\u2019t get traded for Giannis, they may trade him somewhere else,\u201d he said. \u201cMiami understands that Jaylen Brown is in there. They can\u2019t match that. Miami in recent days has gone out to try and recruit third and fourth teams to improve their offer. They don\u2019t have a premium player, like a Jaylen Brown. The most premium asset they have to trade is the 13th pick in tomorrow\u2019s draft.
