{"id":719909,"date":"2026-06-22T21:31:11","date_gmt":"2026-06-22T21:31:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/719909\/"},"modified":"2026-06-22T21:31:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-22T21:31:11","slug":"george-kittle-says-hes-running-16-mph-in-his-rehab","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/719909\/","title":{"rendered":"George Kittle says he&#8217;s running 16 mph in his rehab"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>49ers tight end George Kittle has targeted a Week 1 return since tearing his right Achilles in a Jan. 11 playoff game against the Eagles.<\/p>\n<p>Less than three months from the season opener, Kittle is on track to do just that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got a run today, hit over <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.49erswebzone.com\/articles\/201208-reaches-new-milestone-achilles-recovery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">16 miles an hour<\/a>,\u201d Kittle said on the Pardon My Take podcast over the weekend, via David Bonilla of 49erswebzone.com. \u201cThat was pretty sick.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kittle said the workout was held in cleats on a field, another positive sign in his return.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m 21 weeks out, and I\u2019m running over 16 miles an hour, so I\u2019m having a great time,\u201d Kittle said. \u201cSingle-leg box jumps. We\u2019re cutting again.
