It\u2019s set to be released on Sept. 18, with the first single, \u201cOn Wires,\u201d slated to drop later this week. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe 24-track album is being described as her \u201cmost cohesive artist statement to date\u201d and features 12 songs for day and 12 songs for night. \u201cDay and Night captures a blurred, dreamlike sense of time where nights stretch into mornings and days dissolve into nights, creating a feeling of being suspended inside a moment,\u201d a release says of the album. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe singer has been teasing the project on social media for over a week. She posted a video clip and the album\u2019s cover earlier today on Instagram. \u201cIt\u2019s a double album baby! You guessed it right,\u201d one post read in part.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cExploring and dancing through two distinctly different landscapes. Day being more open-eyed, organic and earthbound and Night being more escapist and even intense at times,\u201d she said in another post. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tDay leans more into 70s-inspired psychedelic pop, while Night is filled with synth heavy dance pop. Jepsen worked with several collaborators including Tavish Crowe, Kyle Shearer, Nate Cyphert and Cole M.G.N on the album. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tJepsen has spent the last 15 years releasing some of the most critically regarded pop <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/music\/\" id=\"auto-tag_music_1\" data-tag=\"music\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">music<\/a>. Her breakout hit \u201cCall Me Maybe,\u201d initially released in Canada in 2011, blew up across the world in 2012 and earned the singer two Grammy nominations. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cOn Wires\u201d is set to be released on streaming platforms this Friday via Interscope Records.
