{"id":721323,"date":"2026-06-23T14:39:05","date_gmt":"2026-06-23T14:39:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/721323\/"},"modified":"2026-06-23T14:39:05","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T14:39:05","slug":"ai-on-pace-to-bypass-cybersecurity-systems-in-months-not-years-five-eyes-spy-partners-warn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/721323\/","title":{"rendered":"AI on pace to bypass cybersecurity systems in months, not years, &#8220;Five Eyes&#8221; spy partners warn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The most advanced artificial intelligence models are improving quickly enough to outsmart prevailing cybersecurity know-how within months, the Five Eyes spy agency alliance has warned. <\/p>\n<p>The risk posed by AI-enhanced hacking is in the spotlight in the wake of startup Anthropic saying in April that its cutting-edge Mythos models had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/mythos-anthropic-ai-project-glasswing-hacker-threat\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">unprecedented abilities to find software vulnerabilities<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The security agencies of Britain, the United States, Australia, Canada and New Zealand urged governments and businesses to act swiftly to prepare themselves as AI evolves. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The rapid pace of frontier AI development means cyber risk assumptions can become outdated in months, not years,&#8221; said a joint statement dated Monday. <\/p>\n<p>AI &#8220;lowers barriers for malicious actors and increases the speed and complexity of attacks,&#8221; the Five Eyes advisory said. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Breaches will occur.
