A fall leg of 10th anniversary celebrations for The Black Queen\u2018s debut album \u201cFever Daydream\u201d have newly been announced. With the initial leg having wrapped earlier this month, the Greg Puciato (ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan, etc.) fronted outfit will now be heading back out again in September.<\/p>\n
Like this spring\u2019s past leg, the synthwave duo will have some guest live personnel, namely Danny Lohner (ex-Nine Inch Nails) and Chris Pennie (ex-The Dillinger Escape Plan). Fans attending can expect to hear \u201cFever Daydream\u201d played in its entirety, along with a few other cuts from the band\u2019s catalog.<\/p>\n
Speaking of their touring this year and an upcoming third studio album, The Black Queen collectively stated:<\/p>\n
\u201cFor a lot of this band\u2019s life, it has existed, for us, mainly as an abstract feeling or place, a dimension in our hearts and imaginations. In the live realm? For only four of the 15 years of its existence. So, when we announced the first tour back, after seven years of not playing, we were excited, but we couldn\u2019t predict the reaction. We couldn\u2019t even predict how we\u2019d ourselves feel once we got going. We also didn\u2019t know at the time that we\u2019d be joined by Danny Lohner and Chris Pennie.<\/p>\n
Once we got this new chapter up and running, and all the pieces and personnel on and offstage snowballed their way into place, and we saw and heard you again in person, this whole thing became filled with new life, with new ideas, with new musical dynamics and interpretations. Now suddenly this is the most excited we\u2019ve ever been for this band, and \u2018Fever Daydream\u2018, which has always been special to us, feels as new and real and tangible to us as it did when we were first building it over a decade ago.<\/p>\n
What started as a \u2018looking back\u2019 celebration of an album, has suddenly become a real time celebration of a new chapter of possibilities and memories for us personally and creatively. We want to stay in this moment just a bit longer before we move on to LP3. So, here\u2019s our second, and final for this chapter, North American leg. See you soon.\u201d<\/p>\n
