{"id":721759,"date":"2026-06-23T19:33:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-23T19:33:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/721759\/"},"modified":"2026-06-23T19:33:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-23T19:33:09","slug":"sharks-re-sign-defenseman-nolan-allan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/721759\/","title":{"rendered":"Sharks re-sign defenseman Nolan Allan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>San Jose Sharks (<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SanJoseSharks\" rel=\"nofollow\">@SanJoseSharks<\/a>) General Manager\u00a0Mike Grier\u00a0announced today that the club has\u00a0re-signed defenseman\u00a0Nolan Allan\u00a0to a\u00a0two-year contract.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Allan, 23,\u00a0split the season between the San Jose Barracuda and the Rockford IceHogs in the American Hockey League (AHL).\u00a0After being\u00a0acquired\u00a0by San Jose on Jan. 8, 2026,\u00a0Allan appeared in 35 games for the Barracuda, recording 14 points (two goals,\u00a012 assists) along with 28 penalty minutes. After the trade through the end of the season, he\u00a0nearly doubled his points-per-game (.40), and his 14 points\u00a0was\u00a0good for fourth\u00a0among the Barracuda defensemen.\u00a0Allan registered a three-game point streak from Jan. 24-31 (one goal, two assists), and\u00a0collected a point in five of nine games from Jan. 24 through Feb. 18. He appeared in two postseason games.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Over the course of\u00a0his professional career,\u00a0within the Chicago organization and San Jose, he has appeared in 43 NHL games with\u00a0the Blackhawks, scoring eight points (one goal, seven assists), and has\u00a0144\u00a0career AHL games, recording\u00a043\u00a0points (11\u00a0goals,\u00a032\u00a0assists).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Prior to his professional career, Allan played in the Western Hockey League across three seasons with the Prince Albert Raiders and Seattle Thunderbirds, appearing in 203 career games and scoring 79 points (21 goals, 58 assists). He helped win the WHL Championship with Seattle in the 2022-23 season where he appeared in 19 playoff games and scored 10 points (two goals, eight assists).
