The Swiss Maestro is now a striking museum piece.<\/p>\n

The International Tennis Hall of Fame unveiled its new Roger Federer exhibit this month.<\/p>\n

An in-depth presentation of the 20-time Grand Slam champion\u2019s Wilson racquets, Nike apparel and Nike shoes are among the precious pieces of tennis history featured in Tennis, Transcended: Roger Federer\u2019s Path to Greatness at the historic Newport, Rhode Island-based Hall.<\/p>\n

The exhibit, which figures to excite Fed fans globally, is the centerpiece of the lead-up to iconic champion Federer\u2019s August induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame along with Queens native and famed tennis broadcaster Mary Carillo.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the International Tennis Hall of Fame\u2019s description of the new Roger Federer exhibit from today\u2019s news release:<\/p>\n

A museum-wide exhibit,\u00a0Tennis, Transcended: Roger Federer\u2019s Path to Greatness, invites fans to relive defining chapters of Federer\u2019s legendary career through a collection of memorabilia and milestones that trace his rise from promising young talent to one of the most accomplished and beloved figures in tennis history.
The newly opened installation includes tribute cases in the Hall of Famers Gallery and additional memorabilia showcased throughout the museum. Tennis, Transcended\u00a0offers visitors an intimate look at Federer\u2019s journey through iconic pieces, including match-worn apparel from all four major tournaments, highlighted by signed kits and racquets from his championship runs at Wimbledon in 2007 and 2009 and Roland-Garros in 2009. The exhibit also features an updated video in The Majors presented by Rolex, where Federer narrates and reflects on some of his most momentous matches at the four majors. Additional highlights and historic points from several of his greatest matches are also viewable in the ATP and Grand Slam Galleries.<\/p>\n

Eight-time Wimbledon winner Federer will play the Hall of Fame Celebrity Pro Classic on August 28th, the International Tennis Hall of Fame announced. Tickets for Federer\u2019s exhibition sold out in two minutes.<\/p>\n

Federer brought the buzz and his all-court skills back to the Happy Slam last January.<\/p>\n

Federer practiced with world No. 13 Casper Ruud then the pair played a tiebreaker before a packed and enthralled Rod Laver Arena crowd.<\/p>\n

The session came nearly seven years after their one and only ATP Tour meeting when Federer repelled Ruud 6-3, 6-1, 7-6(8) at the 2019 Roland Garros.<\/p>\n

Watch Federer successfully serve-and-volley against Ruud then surprise the three-time major finalist with a clean backhand return winner down the line at about the 3:25-mark of the video below.<\/p>\n

The 44-year-old Federer, who looked fit and focused in Melbourne, has been practicing for possible future exhibition matches with rival Rafael Nadal.<\/p>\n

The International Tennis Hall of Fame Museum is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, with last admission at 4:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $25, and children 12 and under receive free admission.
