Like other Quests, it\u2019s a standalone unit that operates wirelessly \u2014 until it\u2019s time to charge it, of course. It plays a wide selection of games from the Quest store, like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meta.com\/quest\/batman-arkham-shadow\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Batman: Arkham Shadow<\/a> and Supernatural (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/941816\/supernatural-health-meta-quest-vr\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">once it relaunches<\/a>), and if you don\u2019t mind some added latency, you can wirelessly stream Steam games from your PC.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1044qizi _18mzr4b1 _18mzr4b0 _19wv7tc1\">While the much pricier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/23906313\/meta-quest-3-review-vr-mixed-reality-headset\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Quest 3<\/a> uses lighter, flatter pancake lenses for its optics, the 3S uses fresnel lenses just like the Quest 2 generation. But other than that, it\u2019s got many similarities as the $600 Quest 3: the same Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, the same cameras with color passthrough video, and the same controllers. What you pay much more for in the Quest 3 is higher image quality, thanks in part to those refined optics and a higher resolution per eye.
