\"1460Over the past six years iHeartMedia Sports 1460 KXNO<\/a> Des Moines has gone from having the majority of its local airstaff let go, to having them rehired and the station adding an FM simulcast<\/a> on 106.3 KXNO-FM Ankeny, and becoming a statewide network<\/a> in August 2024, to now having its lineup gutted yet again.<\/p>\n

As part of the massive restructuring<\/a> going on at the company, KXNO and the statewide \u201cIowa Sports Network\u201d heard on \u201cSports Radio 95.7<\/a>\u201d KOSY-FM Anamosa\/Cedar Rapids, 620 KMNS<\/a> Sioux City, 800 KXIC<\/a> Iowa City, and 1230 WFXN<\/a> Moline IL\/Quad Cities have cut ties with its morning and afternoon shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 1st Quarter\u201d hosted by Heather Burnside and Alec Busse and producer Tyler Allen that aired from 6-9am and the afternoon drive \u201cOff The Bench with Sean Roberts and Lucas Strain\u201d have both come to an end. Roberts also served as Program Director of KXNO. <\/p>\n

Also departing the station separately is 10am-12pm co-host Ken Miller as he will retire at the end of the week. Miller\u2019s co-host Trent Condon will be joined by \u201cLocked on Cyclones Podcast\u201d host Nick Marovets starting on Monday, June 29.<\/p>\n

Earlier today after our show myself as many others were laid off at IHeart Des Moines. I\u2019m not angry or am going to blame anyone\u2026it\u2019s part of the business. You can have good ratings, good revenue etc\u2026Doesn\u2019t matter\u2026your number on that excel sheet can be picked any day. <\/p>\n
