Check it out above.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAn official synopsis for the film has yet to be released, but the film has a tagline: \u201cWerwulf is a harrowing tale of devotion, damnation, and the devil within.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tContinuing his run of historically-rooted horror after The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman, and Nosferatu, Eggers penned the script with his frequent collaborator, Sj\u00f3n. The project extends his relationship with Focus Features following Nosferatu, which broke out as a critical and commercial hit at a worldwide gross of around $181M, and followed his work on The Northman.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tWerwulf also reunites the director with past collaborators <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/aaron-taylor-johnson\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Aaron Taylor-Johnson<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/lily-rose-depp\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lily-Rose Depp<\/a>, and Willem Dafoe.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFocus debuted the film\u2019s trailer at Cinemacon earlier this year. Describing the clip, Deadline\u2019s Matt Grobar, who was in the room, wrote: \u201cIn the very dark and ominous trailer, we hear whispers of a curse and see a house on fire. Things wrap up with a look at Taylor-Johnson seemingly transforming into the titular creature.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tFocus Features financed the film and produced it alongside Eggers and Sj\u00f3n, with Maiden Voyage\u2019s Chris and Eleanor Columbus executive producing.
