{"id":725825,"date":"2026-06-25T20:46:18","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T20:46:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/725825\/"},"modified":"2026-06-25T20:46:18","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T20:46:18","slug":"coco-gauff-serves-up-debut-docs-with-tennis-channel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/725825\/","title":{"rendered":"Coco Gauff\u00a0Serves Up Debut Docs With Tennis Channel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Nine months after launching her own production banner, tennis star <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/coco-gauff\/\" id=\"auto-tag_coco-gauff\" data-tag=\"coco-gauff\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Coco Gauff<\/a>\u00a0is serving up her debut projects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tGauff, who won the French Open last year, has teamed up with the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/tennis-channel\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tennis-channel\" data-tag=\"tennis-channel\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tennis Channel<\/a> for two documentaries, the first to emerge from her company iROC Media Group.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe projects, both short documentaries, include one that explores the history of fashion in tennis, tracing the sport\u2019s most iconic moments and the culture they helped shape, and the other is a portrait of Zina Garrison, the American tennis champion and a personal hero of Gauff\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tBoth films, which are expected to premiere later this summer, are directed by Vashni Korin (You Can\u2019t Stop Spirit) and exec produced by Gauff and produced by Religion of Sports\u2019 Chelsea Marotta. They are being produced by Gauff\u2019s iROC and Religion of Sports, the company co-founded by Tom Brady, which has a partnership with the former. Religion of Sports is behind In the Arena: Serena Williams\u00a0and\u00a0Simone Biles Rising. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe untitled films are part of the Tennis Channel\u2019s documentary strand Tennis Story alongside five other films coming out later this year. The network is also launching Tennis Story: The Vault, a curated collection of 20 docu-shorts spanning the last decade that feature the likes of Kobe Bryant, Andy Murray, Ryan Day, San Quentin, Lerner Tien, Ben Shelton\u00a0and\u00a0Iva Jovic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve always loved how tennis extends beyond the court and influences culture, which is what drew me to these two stories,\u201d\u00a0said Gauff.\u00a0\u201cFashion has been one of the sport\u2019s most powerful forms of self-expression, and I\u2019m excited to explore how iconic players and moments have shaped the way we see tennis and ourselves. Zina Garrison\u2019s story is equally personal to me. She is a trailblazer whose resilience, excellence, and impact on the game have inspired generations, including me.
