THE LATEST<\/p>\n

A pair of 6-3 Supreme Court rulings this morning enable components of Trump\u2019s immigration agenda. The administration can now end temporary protections<\/a>, putting hundreds of thousands at risk of deportation. Immigrants who appear at ports of entry at the Mexico-U.S. border cannot apply for asylum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The court also ruled 7-2 to effectively end a legal pathway<\/a> for people who say they were harmed by products the government declined to adequately regulate.<\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s vision for a national voter database may be faltering<\/a> after courts today undermined a Postal Service proposal to refuse mail-in ballot delivery for states that don\u2019t submit voter lists to the government.<\/p>\n

THE ADMINISTRATION<\/p>\n

The U.S. military will reinstate the flu vaccine requirement<\/a> \u2013 just months after Pete Hegseth called having the choice a matter of \u201csimple medical autonomy.\u201d<\/p>\n

THE HILL<\/p>\n

The House canceled tomorrow\u2019s votes and is heading home early after GOP hardliners effectively froze floor action over the SAVE America Act\u2019s stagnancy in the Senate.<\/p>\n

Mike Johnson spoke with Trump at the White House this afternoon about a plan to pass SAVE.Tom Emmer, who says he\u2019s a John Thune fan, criticized the Senate majority leader on a radio show today<\/a>: \u201cIn this case, what he\u2019s doing is he\u2019s allowing three or four U.S. senators, Republicans, to impress their will on the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Markwayne Mullin\u2019s testimony in front of the House Appropriations Committee quickly turned testy<\/a>: Homeland Security subcommittee Chair Mark Amodei (R-Nevada) rebuked the DHS secretary over his heated exchanges with other members.<\/p>\n

THE COURTS<\/p>\n

A federal judge temporarily blocked a Trump rule restricting<\/a> federal student loan access for some health-care and graduate degree programs. The administration\u2019s sweeping borrowing limits were due to take effect July 1.<\/p>\n

The DOJ failed to curb a lawsuit challenging Trump\u2019s \u201canti-weaponization\u201d fund after Judge Leonie Brinkema said she didn\u2019t trust<\/a> officials\u2019 previous assertions that the fund would not move forward.<\/p>\n
