{"id":726343,"date":"2026-06-26T02:25:28","date_gmt":"2026-06-26T02:25:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/726343\/"},"modified":"2026-06-26T02:25:28","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T02:25:28","slug":"sources-jason-robertson-turns-down-contract-offer-from-kraken","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/726343\/","title":{"rendered":"Sources: Jason Robertson turns down contract offer from Kraken"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to multiple sources, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/hockey\/nhl\/teams\/seattle-kraken\/\" class=\"sn-team-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-team=\"seattle-kraken\" data-league=\"nhl\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Seattle Kraken<\/a> were given permission by Dallas to talk to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/hockey\/nhl\/players\/jason-robertson\/55ab2861-3357-4e4f-9b29-59b62e039e5a\" class=\"sn-player-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-player=\"55ab2861-3357-4e4f-9b29-59b62e039e5a\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Jason Robertson<\/a>, and offered him approximately $15 million per year on a eight-year deal \u2014 but the offer was declined.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Neither the Stars nor the Kraken agreed to comment, nor did Robertson\u2019s representative, Andy Scott.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s believed the two teams had worked out some kind of trade before the permission was granted, apparently including Seattle\u2019s first-round pick \u2014 seventh overall in Friday\u2019s draft.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s hard to say what\u2019s next for the Stars and their 40-goal winger, who are believed to be at least $2 million apart per season.
