Following similar moves in 2022 and 2023, folks in the UK have been informed that they\u2019ll lose all Studio Canal titles from their video libraries due to \u201clicensing agreements.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t the first time Sony has removed purchased content from the PlayStation library<\/p>\n<p>Players will recall that in December 2023, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.playstationlifestyle.net\/2023\/12\/04\/playstation-discovery-tv-shows-being-removed\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sony announced<\/a> that PlayStation owners would eventually lose access to all their purchased Discovery TV shows, sparking widespread concern. The company offered no refunds, but did extend the deadline for content removal after intense backlash.<\/p>\n<p>Now, PlayStation users in the UK have been told that all Studio Canal titles will be removed from their libraries on September 1, 2026. And no, no one\u2019s getting any compensation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDue to our content licensing agreements, you will no longer be able to access your previously purchased content from Studio Canal, and it will be removed from your video library,\u201d the notice reads. <\/p>\n<p>Worth noting that players in some countries, including Germany and Austria, lost their purchased content from Studio Canal back in 2022.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.playstationlifestyle.net\/tag\/playstation-store\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PlayStation Store<\/a> discontinued movie and TV purchases and rentals in August 2021.
