Brad Pitt has scored another win in his ongoing legal battle<\/a> with ex-wife\u00a0Angelina Jolie\u00a0over Ch\u00e2teau Miraval.<\/p>\n

The Superior Court of California granted a motion from Pitt\u2019s legal team on June 17 compelling depositions from members of the Stoli Group, a global manufacturer and distributor of wines, per court documents obtained by Page Six.<\/p>\n

Pitt\u2019s lawyers had argued that investors from the company had firsthand knowledge of Jolie\u2019s 2021 sale of the French winery<\/a> \u2014 that he and his ex-wife co-owned \u2014 to Tenute del Mondo, the wine division of the Stoli Group.<\/p>\n

In June 2025, the actor filed court documents attempting to depose the Stoli Group\u2019s Alexey Oliynik.<\/p>\n

Oliynik has allegedly refused to turn over relevant documents or appear for a deposition, arguing that he could not be forced to do so as a resident of Switzerland.<\/p>\n

A source exclusively tells Page Six that \u201cStoli parties will now have to face the music and be transparent about the transaction.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another insider, however, claims, \u201cAngie did not sell to Stoli for any reason other than she expected Stoli to be an excellent worldwide distribution partner who could help grow the business for the benefit of their children, who stood to inherit Brad\u2019s portion.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe truth is that Pitt\u2019s ego and obsession for control got in the way.\u00a0Brad refused to work with Stoli simply because Angie chose them, not him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jolie\u2019s attorney, Paul Murphy, insists, \u201cThe ruling has no impact on the merits of the case, and certainly has no impact on Ms. Jolie\u2019s case.\u00a0At this point, Ms. Jolie is just looking forward to defeating the case at trial next year so that their family can finally focus their energies on healing and moving on.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former couple\u2019s dispute over their $500 million property, which they purchased in 2008, has been ongoing since Jolie\u00a0sold off her shares for half the vineyard<\/a> in 2021.<\/p>\n

The \u201cFight Club\u201d star filed a lawsuit<\/a> the following year claiming that his former spouse had made the sale despite a prior agreement that neither would do so unless the other person approved.<\/p>\n

However, Jolie denied that agreement, claiming in a countersuit that her ex has been \u201cwaging a vindictive war against\u201d her.<\/p>\n

The court battle has raged on for years, with Page Six exclusively reporting last month that the \u201cF1\u201d star scored a major victory. <\/p>\n

A Michigan judge ruled that lawyers for the Stoli Group improperly blocked testimony<\/a> during a key deposition tied to the case.<\/p>\n

The court found that former Stoli General Counsel, Todd Culyba, was improperly instructed not to answer 33 questions during a December deposition concerning Jolie\u2019s 2021\u00a0sale of her stake in the French winery\u00a0business.<\/p>\n

A source, however, exclusively told Page Six, \u201cThis ruling is not a big deal, and it\u2019s not going to impact the case whatsoever.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ruling also\u00a0ordered Culyba to sit for another deposition<\/a>\u00a0and answer the previously blocked questions, along with related follow-ups, over objections from the Stoli side.<\/p>\n

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge denied Pitt\u2019s effort to force the \u201cMaleficent\u201d actress to turn over a set of private emails tied to the winery dispute, ruling he had not met the burden to overcome attorney-client privilege claims.<\/p>\n

The motion was \u201cdenied without prejudice,\u201d meaning Pitt could raise the issue again later.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At the time, a source exclusively told Page Six, \u201cIt\u2019s notable how Jolie has withheld so many documents as privileged. These emails are just some of the evidence in the case.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Hollywood exes have been butting heads in court since Jolie filed for divorce<\/a> in 2016.<\/p>\n

Throughout their legal battle, the \u201cMaria\u201d star has accused her ex of trying to silence her<\/a> and of using the lawsuit to cover up personal wrongdoings he was guilty of throughout their marriage. <\/p>\n

Pitt finalized his long-running divorce<\/a>\u00a0from Jolie in December 2024, bringing an end to more than eight years of legal proceedings.<\/p>\n
