ABC News anchor David Muir cut into scheduled programming Monday night with a breaking development from the White House, noting new tariffs ordered by President Donald Trump<\/a> are set to take effect at midnight.<\/p>\n

The ABC<\/a> host told viewers the president is imposing a 100% tariff on all chips and semiconductors entering the U.S., a move that could drive up the price of electronics, appliances, and vehicles.<\/p>\n
