Kuwait and Bahrain, on Sunday,
\ncondemned renewed Iranian missile and drone attacks on their territories as
\nviolations of their sovereignty after the latest exchange of strikes between
\nthe United States and Iran.<\/p>\n
Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry described the
\nassaults as a direct threat to the country’s security, stability, and the
\nsafety of citizens and residents, as well as a breach of international law and
\nthe UN Charter. <\/p>\n

\nstrikes breached Iran’s commitments under the Islamabad Memorandum of
\nUnderstanding, signed on June 17, 2026, which called for a permanent halt to
\nmilitary operations and respect for the sovereignty of regional states. The
\nministry urged the UN Security Council to convene an emergency session to hold
\nthose responsible accountable, warning that the attacks threatened the
\ncollective security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).<\/p>\n
\n(CENTCOM) announced<\/a> that US Navy and Air Force aircraft struck 10 Iranian
\nmilitary targets in and near the Strait of Hormuz, including missile and drone
\nstorage sites and coastal radar facilities, in response to Iran’s drone attack
\non the M\/T Kiku. President Donald Trump said Iran violated the ceasefire
\nagreement and warned that further Iranian breaches could prompt the US to \u201cmilitarily complete the job that
\nwe very successfully started.\u201d<\/p>\n
\ndefenses intercepted “hostile” missiles and drones without
\nidentifying their source, while local media reported that Ali Al-Salem Air
\nBase, which hosts US forces, had been targeted. Bahraini media also reported
\nmissile and drone attacks targeting Sheikh Isa Air Base.<\/p>\n
\nCorps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for the operation, saying it had targeted
\neight US military infrastructure sites at Kuwait’s Ali Al-Salem Air Base and the US Fifth
\nFleet headquarters in Bahrain\u2019s Salman Port in response to the American
\nstrikes. It accused Washington of violating the Islamabad memorandum and cautioned
\nthat any further breach would halt all processes under the agreement.<\/p>\n
\ncondemned the US strikes on monitoring and surveillance facilities along the
\ncountry’s southern coast, calling them violations of the UN Charter. It
\nreaffirmed Tehran’s determination to defend the country’s sovereignty and
\nterritorial integrity against what it called US military aggression.<\/p>\n
\nattacks a day earlier, when the IRGC said it had struck US military positions in
\nthe Middle East after American airstrikes on Iran’s southern coast. Bahrain
