Sky<\/a> rookie has been one of the team\u2019s surprise bright spots this season, but she was closing in on her 12-game limit as a development player. Because the Sky had to rely on her early while injuries piled up, it was not clear how much longer she would be available.<\/p>\nNow, that question is gone.<\/p>\n
The Sky signed Coulibaly to a rest-of-season contract, removing the limit on the number of games she can play. According to a league source, Coulibaly has been designated as the replacement player for forward Rickea Jackson, who is out for the season with a torn ACL. That gave the Sky a salary cap exception to sign her.<\/p>\n
Coulibaly was the Sky\u2019s second-round pick in 2025 at No. 22 overall, but she missed last season while rehabbing an ACL injury. She made a case for herself this season with her athleticism and defense. <\/p>\n
She\u2019s averaging 5.0 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 14.4 minutes.<\/p>\n
