{"id":733299,"date":"2026-06-29T18:04:11","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T18:04:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/733299\/"},"modified":"2026-06-29T18:04:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-29T18:04:11","slug":"st-lukes-hospitals-ranked-high-on-social-responsibility-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/733299\/","title":{"rendered":"St. Luke&#8217;s hospitals ranked high on social responsibility list"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nine hospitals operated by St. Luke\u2019s University Health Network were named among the most socially responsible in the country by the <a href=\"https:\/\/lownhospitalsindex.org\/the-most-socially-responsible-hospitals-in-the-u-s-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lown Institute in its 2026-2027 Hospitals Index for Social Responsibility<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s index by the nonpartisan, healthcare-focused think tank includes more than 2,700 acute care hospitals across the nation. How well hospitals serve their communities, including how equitably care is delivered, how hospitals invest in their surrounding populations and whether patients receive high-value care that avoids unnecessary procedures all contributed to hospitals\u2019 overall grade and ranking.<\/p>\n<p>St. Luke\u2019s University Hospital in Fountain Hill, as well as St. Luke\u2019s Hospital-Easton, -Upper Bucks, -Miners, -Warren, -Carbon, -Grand View, -Allentown and -Sacred Heart were included in Lown\u2019s Honor Roll. The St. Luke\u2019s system ranked fifth in the nation on the honor roll list for health systems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis report\u2019s findings reflect St. Luke\u2019s dedication to expand access to our network\u2019s world-class, outcomes-driven quality care,\u201d Dr. Rajika Reed, St. Luke\u2019s vice president of community health, said in a statement. \u201cTruly equitable health systems provide support and access to exceptional care while reaching all sectors of the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>No Jefferson or Lehigh Valley Health Network hospitals made it onto Lown\u2019s honor roll.
