The United States has more than 50,000 personnel deployed across the
\nMiddle East, US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported on Monday, noting that
\nforces remain \u201cvigilant and ready\u201d for any regional escalation.<\/p>\n
During a visit to Beirut, Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM, met
\nLebanese President Joseph Aoun and Army Commander General Rudolf Heikal, with
\ndiscussions focused on implementing the \u201chistoric\u201d Lebanon-Israel framework
\nagreement recently signed in Washington.<\/p>\n
Cooper also visited US forces stationed in Israel, where he reviewed
\nongoing operations and commended service members for their performance and
\noperational contributions.<\/p>\n
