Based on the acclaimed bestseller by Call Me by Your Name\u00a0author Andr\u00e9 Aciman, the series is set to deliver an “intimate yet sweeping portrait of masculinity, sexuality, and modern love,” tracing one man’s transformative journey through the most significant relationships of his life.<\/p>\n

The series is in capable hands, written and executive produced by The Wheel of Time and The Blacklist writer Amanda Kate Shuman, and backed by the production team behind The Morning Show.<\/p>\n

Directed by Oliver Hermanus (The History of Sound, Living), the series follows Paul, “a man remade by the lovers who ignite and undo him across ten transformative years,” according to the official synopsis.<\/p>\n

Golden Globe winner Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 36, leads the cast as Paul. The British actor, who shot to fame playing heartthrob Robbie in the teen comedy film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, is known for his roles in\u00a0Bullet Train, Kick-Ass\u00a0and 28 Years Later.<\/p>\n

Alicia Vikander, 37, will star as Claire, to whom Paul gets married in the novel. The Swedish actress earned global recognition for her acclaimed performance as Ava in the 2014 sci-fi film\u00a0Ex Machina. The following year, she won an Oscar for her portrayal of painter Gerda Wegener in The Danish Girl. She’s also known for her roles in Tomb Raider, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.\u00a0and Jason Bourne.<\/p>\n
