The Greene County Sheriff\u2019s Office has asked the public to leave it alone, adding \u201cdeliberate attacks on people are very rare.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.daytondailynews.com\/users\/profile\/London%20Bishop\" rel=\"author nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Contributed<\/a><br \/>\n                &#13;<br \/>\n                    &#13;<\/p>\n<p>A black bear was spotted running through a field in the eastern part of Greene County Tuesday, June 30, according to the Greene County Sheriff\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p>The black bear was spotted near Skydive Greene County on Monroe Siding Road: east of Xenia and south of U.S. 35.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe get people from all walks of life, but it was the first time a bear came to skydive,\u201d said Skydive Greene County owner Kelly West.<\/p>\n<p>West said her aunt Rita Baxter was the first to spot the bear on a morning walk Tuesday. Video provided by West and Baxter shows the bear running through a field in the early morning hours, toward the direction of Baxter\u2019s home, prompting her to hitch a ride from a neighbor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy German Shepherd was losing her mind in the early morning\u2026which is out of character for her,\u201d West said, adding she\u2019d love to see the bear for herself &#8211; from a safe distance.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, residents of Anderson Twp. in Hamilton County also reported seeing a black bear in the area, according to our TV partner WCPO.<\/p>\n<p>The Greene County Sheriff\u2019s Office has asked the public to leave the bear be.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeliberate attacks on people are very rare,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office said. \u201cIf you see it \u2014 leave it alone.
