The Lions announced on Monday that they\u2019d released cornerback Terrion Arnold. The official move appears on Wednesday\u2019s report of NFL transactions.<\/p>\n
The report includes a note that the claiming deadline is Monday, July 6, at 4:00 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s highly unlikely that any team will make a claim for the two-year balance of Arnold\u2019s first-round rookie contract. He\u2019s currently facing eight felony charges in Florida arising from an armed robbery and kidnapping. He\u2019d possibly be placed on paid leave by the NFL, if he were on a roster.<\/p>\n
Arnold is due back in court on Monday regarding the prosecution\u2019s renewed request that he be required to wear an ankle monitor while on home confinement pending trial. The judge previously ruled that Arnold would not be required to wear a tracking device.<\/p>\n
At the time, Arnold was employed by the Lions.
