{"id":738155,"date":"2026-07-02T03:26:09","date_gmt":"2026-07-02T03:26:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/738155\/"},"modified":"2026-07-02T03:26:09","modified_gmt":"2026-07-02T03:26:09","slug":"bethesda-shows-off-oblivion-remastered-switch-2-physical-release","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/738155\/","title":{"rendered":"Bethesda Shows Off Oblivion Remastered Switch 2 Physical Release"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, Bethesda announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/elder-scrolls-iv-oblivion-remastered\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered<\/a> for Switch 2 would be getting a proper &#8220;physical cartridge&#8221; release, containing the &#8220;full base game&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In an update, the company has now shared a new promotional trailer on its social media pages, showing this physical game card in all its glory:<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\">Exploring across Cyrodiil, you never know what physical treasures you might find&#8230; \ud83d\udd0d<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/did:plc:fbjtw7sivvojjxqggqpuk23f?ref_src=embed\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Elder Scrolls (@elderscrolls.bethesdastudios.com)<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/did:plc:fbjtw7sivvojjxqggqpuk23f\/post\/3mplzcstgks2z?ref_src=embed\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2026-07-01T17:14:04.608Z<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As you might have already guessed, this clip has led to many supportive comments after Sony announced this week it would be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2026\/07\/sony-ditches-physical-media-suddenly-game-key-cards-dont-look-so-bad\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ending PlayStation disc-based physical releases<\/a> by 2028.<\/p>\n<p>Bethesda&#8217;s previous Switch 2 release <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch-2\/indiana-jones-and-the-great-circle\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Indiana Jones and the Great Circle<\/a> got a full cartridge release in May.
