At Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, the grass has not been high-quality.<\/p>\n<p>While it\u2019s come a long way from the <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=x7DTNEa2E7w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Punt That Didn\u2019t Bounce Of 2007<\/a>, last year\u2019s surface was an embarrassment for the Steelers and the league. (It doesn\u2019t help that Pitt plays there, too, and that on multiple weekends the field had Saturday and Sunday games.)<\/p>\n<p>Via Jack Markowski of SI.com, a new surface <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/nfl\/steelers\/onsi\/pittsburgh-steelers-stadium-desperately-needed-upgrade\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">has been installed<\/a> at Acrisure Stadium. Precision Turf announced on Wednesday that the installation of Tahoma 31 Bermudagrass has been completed.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Steelers owner Art Rooney II acknowledged that the grass field, which drew an F-minus in the annual NFLPA report cards, <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/steelers-will-replace-f-surface-at-acrisure-stadium\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">would be replaced<\/a>. He also left the door open to a potential switch to artificial turf, if the new version doesn\u2019t perform as intended.<\/p>\n<p>The players would hate that. But they\u2019d hate it less than another bad grass surface in Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Not all grass field are the same.
