MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) — A locally owned golf business will close its doors at the end of July.<\/p>\n
Valley Golf Center is located just off Highway 41 on Avenue 9 in Madera County.<\/p>\n
For the last eight and a half years, the owners say they’ve worked to provide a fun and safe place for people to come and practice their swings.<\/p>\n
But their lease wasn’t renewed, so they’ve decided to retire.<\/p>\n
While the business will remain a place for people to golf, a corporation out of Northern California is taking it over starting August first.<\/p>\n
The owners say it’s bittersweet.<\/p>\n
“We just want to thank the community. We’ve put our heart and soul into making this something fun,” Valley Golf Center co-owner Cindy Vinning said. “We hope people remember us that way, cause we really did everything we could for the community.”<\/p>\n
Over the years, Valley Golf Center has supported several local events, including The First Tee of Fresno, Valley Children’s Hospital and several schools.<\/p>\n
The owners would like to remind customers with gift cards and range cards for the driving range to come in and use them before the last day, July 29.<\/p>\n
