{"id":742508,"date":"2026-07-04T09:27:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-04T09:27:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/742508\/"},"modified":"2026-07-04T09:27:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-04T09:27:08","slug":"caitlin-clark-out-aja-wilson-questionable-for-sundays-tilt-between-las-vegas-aces-and-indiana-fever-at-t-mobile-arena-aces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/742508\/","title":{"rendered":"Caitlin Clark \u2018out,\u2019 A\u2019ja Wilson \u2018questionable\u2019 for Sunday\u2019s tilt between Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever at T-Mobile Arena | Aces"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The highly anticipated matchup between the Las Vegas Aces and the Indiana Fever on Sunday at T-Mobile Arena could be missing two of the WNBA\u2019s biggest stars.<\/p>\n<p>The Fever announced Friday that guard Caitlin Clark will miss the game after aggravating a lingering back injury during Indiana\u2019s June 24 contest against the Phoenix Mercury.<\/p>\n<p>Clark leads the Fever with 8.2 assists per game and ranks second on the team in scoring with 21.2 points, trailing fellow All-Star starter Kelsey Mitchell, who is averaging 21.6.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana hopes Clark will return during its back-to-back on July 8-9 after she returned to practice on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Aces\u2019 A\u2019ja Wilson missed her second consecutive game on Friday night against the Chicago Sky after rolling her ankle in the fourth quarter of the team\u2019s 107-99 victory over Chicago on June 28.<\/p>\n<p>Aces coach Becky Hammon initially expected Wilson to miss only a few days but now considers the four-time MVP \u201cday-to-day,\u201d leaving her status for Sunday\u2019s matchup in doubt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c(Wilson) is tough,\u201d Hammon said. \u201cI want to protect her as much as possible.
