Princess Charlotte<\/a> might just be Kate Middleton’s<\/a> biggest fan. Royal onlookers can often find the little royal looking at her mom with utmost admiration, but her beams of pride at Wimbledon 2024 might just take the cake.<\/p>\n

On July 14, 2024, the Princess of Wales made a rare public appearance<\/a> at the London open amid her cancer treatment, where she was met with a standing ovation from the audience while taking her seat in the Royal Box at Centre Court. While Middleton was visibly moved by the emotional applause, waving with a huge smile on her face, Charlotte’s reaction is what really stole everyone’s hearts.<\/p>\n

In a video shared from the stands on X<\/a> (formerly Twitter), the young royal\u2014who wore a dark blue dress with white polka dots and fluttery sleeves\u2014could be seen looking at her mom with reverence. Charlotte’s chestnut-colored hair was pulled back from her face with small braids, putting her huge grin on display.<\/p>\n

Kate, for her part, wore a short-sleeved purple midi dress by Safiyaa that coordinated with her All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club pin that was fastened just below the neckline of her outfit. She styled her brunette locks down and sleek with a side part, and wore rosy makeup.<\/p>\n

According to Karwai Tang, the photographer who captured the sweet moment, Middleton appeared to be in good spirits at the men’s single final. \u201cWhen [Kate] usually comes in, she walks down the steps and into her seat. She doesn\u2019t normally stand and wave. But she stood for a while and took it all in,” he said. “For her to acknowledge it and take in the applause was special.”<\/p>\n

“She seemed to look no different from the last Wimbledon. It felt like she is back,” he adds. \u201cFor them to cheer and clap when they came in was a great support for her. Wimbledon had been waiting with bated breath for her to return and she was back.\u201d<\/p>\n

In 2025, the mother-daughter duo ran it back, attending Wimbledon again<\/a>, this time with Prince William and Prince George.<\/p>\n
