We are counting down the top 50 Nebraska football players you need to know heading into the season.

No. 32 Kyle Cunanan

Cunanan beat out John Hohl and Tristan Alvano for the kicking job last year and helped bring stability to a special teams unit that lacked it in 2024. He was 16 of 19 on field goals, including a 52-yarder in his Nebraska debut against Cincinnati, and made all 45 of his extra point attempts.

Cunanan began his career at Charlotte and spent the 2025 spring season at Cal before transferring to Nebraska.

Alvano transferred to South Dakota State over the offseason. Hohl remains on the team as a kickoff specialist, but there’s little in Cunanan’s way toward being the starting kicker for the second year in a row.

We are counting down the top 50 Nebraska football players you need to know heading into the season.…

[67
6177,17390,9244,399,17361,318612,9643,398,6169,396,397,31031,31030,31029,99
post-743189","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-ncaa-football","tag-american-football","tag-american-football-playoffs","tag-college-football-conference-seasons","tag-football","tag-gridiron-football","tag-journalstar-com","tag-national-football-league","tag-ncaa","tag-ncaa-division-i-fbs-football-teams","tag-ncaa-football","tag-ncaafootball","tag-nfl-seasons","tag-nfl-teams","tag-nfl-teams-seasons","tag-sports
["GET
