Zach Wilson looked like his old self. <\/p>\n

In all the worst ways. <\/p>\n

During the Dolphins\u2019 preseason game against the Bears on Sunday, the ex-Jets bust bounced what would have been an easy touchdown pass to Tanner Conner on a second-and-goal play early in the second quarter.<\/p>\n

Wilson faked a handoff, rolled to his left and was under pressure, but Conner was wide open and could have waltzed into the end zone. <\/p>\n

Wilson\u2019s throw landed well in front of Conner, however.<\/p>\n

Wilson was also sacked by Austin Booker after staring down Tahj Washington, forcing the Dolphins to punt. <\/p>\n

He led two touchdown drives, but finished 5-for-9 for 96 yards and no touchdowns or interceptions in what ended up a 24-24 tie. <\/p>\n

The bulk of those yards came on a 35-yard connection with Nick Westbrook-Ikhine on his second play from scrimmage. <\/p>\n

Wilson spent last year with the Broncos after his disastrous Jets tenure ended. <\/p>\n

The Jets drafted Wilson with the No. 2 overall pick in 2021 and dealt him to Denver last offseason.<\/p>\n

He signed a one-year, $6 million deal with the Dolphins this offseason and is battling rookie Quinn Ewers to win the backup job behind Tua Tagovailoa.<\/p>\n

Ewers had a rough preseason debut, going 5-for-18 for 91 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions. <\/p>\n
