Ice Cube<\/a> criticized federal immigration authorities this week. He accused them of employing aggressive during recent Los Angeles raids.<\/p>\n

In an interview on REAL 92.3 LA\u2019s \u201cThe Cruz Show<\/a>,\u201d the entertainer<\/a> condemned U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for what he described as heavy-handed operations that have targeted schools.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo see people disrespected like that, and the federal government being too heavy-handed, going to churches and weddings and grabbing people out of schools\u2014it\u2019s like, \u2018Come on, man, y\u2019all just overdoing it,\u2019\u201d Cube said.<\/p>\n

His remarks followed reports that Border Patrol agents, in what one official allegedly referred to as \u201cOperation Trojan Horse.\u201d It jumped from a rented truck and detained several people outside a Home Depot in Los Angeles. The incident sparked swift criticism from civil rights advocates and local leaders.<\/p>\n

Ice Cube Against ICE Raids<\/p>\n

Cube said the actions have left many residents feeling unsafe in public spaces. \u201cNobody\u2019s safe,\u201d he said. \u201cThey don\u2019t care who they grab. They want to traumatize people, too.\u201d<\/p>\n

The N.W.A.<\/a> co-founder described the emotional toll on Los Angeles\u2019 Latino community, noting that spaces once seen as refuges now carry fear. \u201cI can\u2019t wait \u2019til this period is over,\u201d he added. \u201cIt\u2019s crazy to see people dragged out of their spots of refuge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Public tension over immigration enforcement has been rising since June, when protests erupted against former President Donald Trump\u2019s mass deportation push. The administration deployed the National Guard to assist ICE, intensifying operations citywide. <\/p>\n

Cube joins a growing roster of artists voicing opposition to the crackdown, including Tyler, The Creator<\/a>, Olivia Rodrigo, Green Day\u2019s Billie Joe Armstrong and Kehlani<\/a>. ICE has increased its presence in Southern California in recent months, conducting arrests outside schools, workplaces and religious services.<\/p>\n

Community advocates accuse the agency of using intimidation to spread fear among immigrants, regardless of legal status.
