A seaplane carrying eight people crashed into New York City\u2019s East River on Sunday, with emergency responders rushing to the scene, video shows.<\/p>\n

The plane took a hard landing in the choppy waters and partially capsized at just after 12 p.m., officials told The Post.<\/p>\n
Eight people were rescued from the plane by the FDNY. Two passengers with minor injuries were evaluated by emergency medical staff, officials said.<\/p>\n
The crash unfolded near the Manhattan ferry and Skyport terminal along 23rd Street and FDR Drive.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

After the passengers were removed from the plane, the ship was put upright on the water and towed back to the docks.\u00a0<\/p>\n
At least five ships were seen aiding in the response, with another seaplane spotted nearby.<\/p>\n
An investigation into the crash remains ongoing, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
