<\/a>More than 1,800 PPL customers remained without power Sunday morning after strong storms moved through Schuylkill County late Saturday night into early Sunday morning.
The storms brought heavy rain and gusty winds that knocked down trees and wires across parts of the county, leading to scattered outages.<\/p>\n

According to PPL, crews were working Sunday to restore service, with many outages expected to be repaired throughout the day. Some customers may not have power restored until as late as 11:00pm Sunday.<\/p>\n

As of Sunday morning, PPL reported the following outages in Schuylkill County:<\/p>\n

Blythe Township \u2013 2 customers affectedButler Township \u2013 162 customers affectedCass Township \u2013 72 customers affectedEast Brunswick Township \u2013 53 customers affectedHubley Township \u2013 9 customers affectedNorth Manheim Township \u2013 37 customers affectedPottsville \u2013 15 customers affectedSchuylkill Township \u2013 395 customers affectedSouth Manheim Township \u2013 1 customer affectedTamaqua Borough \u2013 12 customers affectedTremont Borough \u2013 1,068 customers affectedTremont Township \u2013 1 customer affectedUnion Township \u2013 4 customers affectedWashington Township \u2013 2 customers affectedWest Penn Township \u2013 5 customers affected<\/p>\n

In total, approximately 1,838 customers were affected by the outages as of 10:15am.<\/p>\n
